...can anyone tell me how to make the horizontal scrollbar go away please?

Drop your width to something less than 100% .

Thank you, but in addition to not wanting the horizontal scroll, I also want the width to be 100%, if I drop it down a few % it gets rid of the horizontal scroll, sure, but it also makes it so there's a few pixels of white on either side!

its difficult to fit your web page to different resolutions so what i do instead is set my page to 800px width and just create a background around it.

If this isn't what your wanting im not really sure. P.s have you tried it in the browser because it might just be in dreamweaver etc that it has the scrollbar?

you can add this to the <head> portion of your document.

<style type="text/css">
body {margin:0px;}
</style>

or add

margin :0px; to the body part of your stylesheet

I already have that in my style sheet...

your stylesheet has:

try adding px after the 0 see if that works...

Absolutely NOT necessary. If the value is ZERO then a unit (px em %) is NOT required.

whoa... took a while...
i redid ur stylesheet and attached it... (change the extension to CSS and <LINK> to it from ur html page)

it worked in Firefox and IE 7...

(don't replace ur old stylesheet in case it doesn't work or it's not what u wannted)

hope this solved the problem

lady red is correct, for that case it has a different using a value of percentage and pixel in a page. maybe you are using the pixel value..
