I need help in writing a animated background in HTML. What I basically need to know is what html I need to write to produce a two background screen. For instance If I need a split background of 50% sea AND 50% sky. Call sea background sea, sea.gif and the sky, sky.gif. I can do one background which does both using the Windows "paint" program and adobe print . but it gets very complex and there must be a simpler way. Can anybody please help me.

I'm kind of dense, so I apologize in advance, but I don't understand what you are trying to do. Do you have an example you can show us?

There isn't oneto do split backgrounds, well not until CSS3 is fully supported (don't hold your breath)

Using Windows "Paint" ???? are you a masochist ??

And you can't do animation in HTML

You could juggle with two images in relatively positioned containers in a parent container positioned absolutely though.

You could use a 2 row table with the height of 50% and set the background for each cell
