Hello, new to forum but glad to be here. I created a simple html site. Now I wish to search the content on this site with a integrated search engine (not with Google]. How can I achieve that if possible?

You can't

You need server side code to drive a site search (or use a third party)

Chris is right about needing a script. Can you use php or cgi?

Fluid Dynamics has a cgi script that they will even installl for free.
