An odd occurence that I need help on. I have bookmarked a position on my page with the <a name=""></a> convention and the "link" with the <a href="#">...</a> tag...while it works in the FrontPage Preview, when I load the page I get a "404 - not found" error if I view under Netscape...works in IE Explorer...I even tried a "workaround" using a javascript routine with an OnClick" event handler to trigger the function, same result...IE Explorer YES, Netscape NO...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Well, I know that various Javascript things don't usually work in Netscape. OnClick, OnMouseOver, etc usually don't work. As for the code....I recommend using the actual filename. So pretend your file is index.html, then the code is <a href="index.html#whatever">. Usually works better.

Hey WaHoOoO!,

Thanks for the response...sorry I didn't get back sooner. I actually tried your suggestion before I sent my querry, but alas, no luck...I've gone to other sites and looked at their code for "bookmarks" that work under Netscape...unfortunately, my code matches theirs so I'm kinda stymied...could this possibly be a bug in the hosts' server?...else, I don't really know where to go from here...

Thanks for your help.
