Hello Friends,
I was wondering if there is a tool that can convert a PSD design to HTML with CSS and W3C validation as if it is done manually by hand. This could save a lot of time and resources. The psd can have different layers including layers for text.

A guidance would be appreciated.

Regards

A program that is installed when you install Photoshop - ImageReady - is the program to do this. You can create html from this. It takes a little while to learn to use it correctly, but it works.

If you do not know html, a bit advice is to learn it. It won't take any longer to learn html then it will to learn how to use ImageReady, (or any other program) effectively.

there are many sources if you do a search , to find out how to use html. or better yet, go to a local book store and buy a beginner's book. You find yourself making web pages a lot sooner and better. If you know html, ImageReady will help with some things, but there are not to many shortcuts to building a good web page. Create your graphics and put them on your page.

Quite frankly there is NO program that can spit out proper (X) HTML and CSS with VALID code that will ever be as good as coding by hand. While it would be nice, it does not exist.. and it sure sounds like a lazy man's way of doing things.

ImageReady spews garbage code - period.

The only program that even comes close is a called SiteGrinder. It does produce (X)HTML and CSS, but it's still spaghetti code. I don't know if it validates at all.
