Screen layout looks different on different computers

I'm busy setting up a website at www.airflights.to

The screen layout looks correct on my computer (on both Firefox and Internet Explorer). However, when using somebody else's computer, I was horrified to see that the right hand column of the layout appears under the left-hand column (I was using Internet Explorer on his computer).

I'd appreciate any insight into why this is occurring, and what I can do to fix it up.

My guess is you're using a piece of code that is not compatible with previous versions of IE. Do you recall what version of IE he was using? and what version are you using?

It looks fine foe me too, but I would guess it's because the site is coded to be 1024px wide. Anyone with a screen resolution less than 1024px wide might see something like that happen. It might even happen 1024x768 since the browser will use some px for the scrollbar and the edges.

I didn't see it happen when I made my browser smaller, but I would think that's a likely place to start checking.

Do you know the resolution of the monitor where the column dropped? If not can you find out? If it's 1024x768 or less I would think that's the issue and to fix things you would need to reduce widths of the left and right columns, the main content area or some combination of them.

Yep, I agree with Vangogh-- the other computer was likely set at a lower resolution than what you set the design to.

I see it happening - IE 6, SP2 on XP.. resolution 1024x768 and the right column is sitting below the center section over next to the left column.
