does anyone know where online there is list of what texts are named and an example of them?

sorry, yea like:

times new roman: example(times new roman)

Its just that there are so many fonts out there and i dont know what a lot look like, but i might like to use them on my website

There are tons of fonts, but only a limited number that will render on everyone's machines.

If the font name contains spaces, then you must specify it css with quote around it, so Times New Roman would be specfied as "Times New Roman"

Open up MS Word and change the font until you find one you like.
