Hey guys, I'm trying to start an online internet business but I lack the knowledge in html and css coding, I'm have 12 years experience in pretty much anything IT other than web design, the problem is that I'm trying to create a site and lack the skills so I need someone's help in doing so, whoever helps me with the designing and content will be rewarded once the site is fully up and running and generating income.

the site is www.virusdoctor.co.za/web/index.php

I've tried everything but the layout of the css comes out completely wrong each time and its driving me crazy. The site is driven by Joomla CMS (Content Management System) so if you have any experience with designing sites please help me, the site will eventually have an online shop to purchase IT equipment at very low rates as I have a super cheap supplier. I just need help with the "Core" site development but if you are interested in being a part of the site, let me know as I will need staff & admins to help maintain things, like I said though, once the site is generating revenue, you wont be doing it all for free (unless you want to) . Please guys, I've exhausted all resources and dont have the time to learn html and css. I've created the sql database and Joomla is fully set up and running, the mainpage is 90% done but the layout is messed up, I'd also appreciate any advice from you guys as I've been reading some of these threads and noticed how helpful most of you are (which is why I joined).

Thanks a million in advance, if you are interested, please pm me or reply to this thread, alternatively if you want to contact me you can always email virusdoctor@vodamail.co.za or shaun@virusdoctor.co.za

Well, I'm no html wiz, but I know that the following part of your coding is wrong.
Quote:
<HTML> <HEAD> </HEAD> <BODY><script type="text/javasc...
HTML starts the page, and you have that more than once.

Also, lower the width of the frame where the content goes out too far.

I'd suggest using html instead of php, I can help you with the site if you'd like.

Check out my website here at www.icyville.com for more info. I can also design you a logo.

I half agree with you guys about the html over php but the Content Management System the site is run on is called Joomla and is therefore driven by php and css scripts. So completely moving over to html would be fine I guess but the ease of use as far as management on Joomla is concerned couldn't be easier, its really just the prontpage of the site I need help with (the layout mainly) the rest I could handle on my own, if you guys could maybe assist with that I'd be very greatful.

I actually only just realised this is in the wrong forum

Could a Mod move it please?

I'm pretty much giving up for now though since I'm tight on cash and naturally nobody wants to help for free so...

Anyway thanks for the replies guys, have a good day!

PHP generates content that HTML structures- PHP is not a replacement for HTML.

I'll have a look at your post in the PHP forum.
