Hi,

I am trying to decide whether or not to include soft‐hyphen glyphs in my web copies. To get up to date, read Soft‐hyphen (shy) – a hard problem? and possibly even Every character has a story #23. (CSS3 Hyphenation whould be related too.)

The advantage I am trying to attcive is better word‐ and line‐breaking. Soft‐hyphens could be used to suggest where this could occur. However I do not want my copies to hyphenate if there is not a line‐break.

I am really confused. Should I use soft‐hyphens or not?

(Also on Opera Community Forums.)
