Hi all. I would like to incorporate a "comment" feature into my website without having to use typepad or another service. I want to have it so people can just click on a comment tab then have their name come up and enter in the subject and text of their comment, much like on other blog sites. My website is phillypurge.com so you can see the articles and maybe give me an idea as to the logistics (check out the code) as far as where I'd put the form. Thanks to whoever can help!

The form is the least of the concerns.

The backend code for storing, retrieving and displaying the comments is where the real work is.

whet server side code would this need to be written in?

It needs to be written in PHP and have it access a mysql database in order to store, retrieve, and display the comments.

Maybe this site is something for you:
http://www.php-mysql-tutorial.com/

especially the “Insert Data To MySQL Database” – tutorial.
Making your own comment-system isn’t very hard, if you just look around on google you find lot more tutorials about MySQL and PHP and probably also some who tell you step by step how to make your desired comment system without to much thinking work.

Yeah php

Do a google search for Gentle Source or Digital midget for good php based comments i have tested. If you dont know php, perhaps look for a word press theme or something
