Hi,

I was looking to add a tree type navigation pane on my website on the left side of the page. I want it to look like the way they show in help files or in the windows-explorer.

Can it be done in html? Else what is the easiest technology in which it can be implemented ?

Please help.

Please note that I am not talking about navigation menu.

Thanks,
Mukesh

I've never dealt with that type of navigation much outside of third party scripts much, but I don't believe it can be done with HTML on its own. If I am wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. lol. Which is a good thing. I know you can do it using Javascript.

Thanks for replies. Could you please point me to some online material which I could read or go through and understand how to do it using Javascript or other techniques?

Somebody was mentioning to me that it could be done using DHTML. How true is that? Which is easier/better to use?

DHTML IS javascript and HTML. The "D" meaning 'dynamic' and you get it by using javascript.

You can add a ton of little items like that with Javascript, there are dozens of sites with the code already done just make sure to credit the author and get permission if needed.
