Hey ya'll.

I have two nit-picky questions.

The first, is related to this page.
For some positions, the image fits perfectly in the wrapper, but for other resizes, it is slightly too short. If you resize the page using the free-controlling button on the bottom right of your browser, you may notice a white sliver on the right side of my image that shows up. What can I do to solve this? I am scared that, if I resize the image to make it 1 or 2 pixels wider, that it won't fit on the wrapper...

Second question: How can I clear my wrapper after that image on my homepage, so there's no white underneath the image?

Thanks everyone!

Maybe -- or did you - try using CSS to position your image? Have your tried that? I see you have <div id="left"> where you have the link to the image, but being I can't see the CSS file, I realize I may be way out in left field, but you could use that to position the image in the center -- I'm seeing a TON of whitespace underneath the image, too. Doesn't look right.

You can also add img {border: 0} and get that border out of the img tag, too.

I can't reproduce the 1st question (both in IE and FF)
The 2nd is simple - you've set background image for BODY (stripe.png)
Remove white space from the image. Leave just stripes.
Make one more bg image - shadows and white space. Set this image to #wrapper.

I'd better use classes than ids. You can use as many instances of 1 class on your page as you need. But id must be unique.
HTML Validation
CSS Validation
And one more very useful article

I tried this, and the shadows aren't working, despite the image: http://www.ivancash.com/images/wrapper.gif working. any help?

thanks,
ivan

Hi Ivan,
see the attached archive.
There you can see a simple structure of blocks with different backgrounds.
I used your wrapper.gif, but it would be better to use png for smooth borders.

Btw, why do you make bg image for body so long - 2000px? You may cut it and repeat both on X an Y.
