Now I've read up extensively on using the "nofollow" tag as well. I read on Google's blog and in a few other places that you can add two tags, just place a space between them.

But...now my "external" link, which I use to comply with HTML Strict, doesn't work! Any clue why? Or if I can get it to work?

I'm getting the sinking feeling I am not going to be able to make it work...and I went to such great lengths and months of work to get rid of the "target" tag...now this.

Is it me or does anyone else ever feel totally exhausted and done-in at the constant need to change things due to ever-changing standards, rules, tags to stop the low-life scammers, etc?

Which page did you add it to Jeni ? I use the "nofollow" on a couple of pages on a couple of sites (for various reasons) and it's fine.

I didn't have any trouble with it and the validator isn't throwing any hissy fits either. W3 says it's a space-separated list of link types.

Hmmm... you mean the links opened in a new window?? Wow ... they won't for me! Well, if they're working all right I guess it's okay but the validator -- is that showing an error? Wait (duh) I'll go check for myself! lol..sorry. Thanks so much for taking the time to check this out for me!
