Hi guys/gals.

Im wondering if any one out there has any sujjestions on how I can get more paying customers? currently im getting at least 1 free listing per day but hardly any are actully paid customers.

My current form of marketing is SEO, Affiliate marketing with ClixGalore.com and also Stickers all over my car. Im ranked high with certin keywords such as:

Australian business directory (page 3 google) out of 9 million

Business Directory (page 5 - google) out of like 90million

Importers and exporters directory (page 3 google)

Web and graphic design directory (page 2 google) out of more than 20million

and a few more such as 'baby and parenting directory', 'pet care directory' and about another 15 keywords. I have a PR2.

Regarding SEO i paid $1500 upfront and now im paying $150 per month but like I said im not getting much conversions and I want to stop it if its only going to keep getting me 'free listings'

As an incentive im also giving away 2 x MOVIE TICKETS with every premium sale and still not getting any coversions.

Please if someone out there could help me or has any sujjestions on what I can do I would really appreciate it.

To many people this will seem like just another web directory (the internet is overloaded with them). Not only that, but you have to pay to join this one. Not only that, but this directory doesn't have that many listings. I think these factors might put people off.

But that's assuming you're getting potential customers to your site. Does your site get much traffic? It's a nice looking site though

not sure how many customers visit my site, Im desinger is about to install the google ana (something) code to my site so i can track it

sorry cant remember the full name...

How can i get more customers to join the directory??

By helping more people find your site (SEO, marketing) and once they find your site by giving them something they think they need. You need both of those.

Google Analytics will help you track your visitors.

I think you may want to consider lowering your rates as I see it a bit expensive.

On getting more traffic:

Good SEO + PPC, Paid back links, Forum posts to similar niche, banners, etc. = Great traffic and more targeted traffic!

IMO, opting for paid ways contribute well to a good marketing mix especially at getting targetted traffic. In reality, getting 10 targeted traffic is better that 100 random traffic. Getting just mere random traffic doesn't constitutes your site's success - it's the conversion you get from your traffic. Getting traffic is just the first step, offering the right stuff to your visitors and conversion should be utmostly considered.

To sum up, SEO is great for the long run and should't be left out. This is a long process and wouldn't always give you immediate results. Premium ways (PPC, paid links, banner, etc) for faster generation of targetted traffic especially if you have time constraints.

im starting to get some paying customers now. i guess my pricing was a little to high
