No, but then again, I don't sell anything. Neither should you, according to your signature.

When will people understand that traffic != sales ???
stumbleupon is not about sales.
Stumbleupon is a way to show a site to other users.
I've discovered stumbleupon 4 years ago, and I still use it, sometimes.
The way I use it, is that when I've got 5/10 minutes free, and I don't want to dwell into work, I hit the stumble button, just to see what will come.
I usually spend around 10 seconds on a page that might be interesting, and less than 3 when I see something that's clearly commercial.
Lot of adsense, I go away. Looks like a shop, I go away.
I might stay longer on an article about a field I'm interested in, but once I've finished the article, I go away.
Stumbleupon is traffic, but it's nothing more.
It's not organic traffic. The peoples that come to your site don't come because of what you provide, they came because an computer alogrithm sent them to your site to judge it.
You'll never make much sales with that kind of traffic.

Agreed - StumbleUpon isn't and shouldn't ever be about sales. It's about reading content only.
Does this make it useless? Definitely not. If your purpose isn't to sell anything, then it's great. It can potentially get you quite a lot of traffic and give you plenty of coverage. But for sales, it's a no.

You mean a web site advertising under "free ..." shouldn't be charging for the full version? From the page:

What could be bad in using stumbleupon? I get some traffic from it, and I discover many interesting sites/blogs. This is my gain

I don't think people are complaining about StumbleUpon, they are saying you cannot SELL things using SU. People come looking for a good read or an interesting picture/video, not to be advertised at. If I want to buy something, I don't go looking for it in StumbleUpon, I Google it. I'm guessing many other people are the same - if they want to buy something, they'll look for it. If they want to spend some time reading something interesting, they'll use SU.

I agree that i see a lot of cool stuff that i never seen before, but that is the whole idea wright, i think it is possible to sell stuff from your site as long you got some stumblers interested in your products/ services wright?

Your experience and the opinions shown above indicate otherwise.
What's the problem? Find another advertising channel.

Then you need to pay Stumble Upon for the traffic you're stealing from them. They're trying to monetize their site just like you are, but you're stealing from them.

Hmmm, I give a response to widgets who said that he heared bad stuff about stumble. And you are acussing me for stealing ? When I think it deserves to pay for stumbleupon, then I will pay, I don't need you to tell me what to do Isn't nice what you just said
StumbleUpon is free, like this forum is an ad revenue sharing forum for free. Sun enough you will accuse this forum members by stealing your money

John I think Diana just meant her gain was in discovering good sites through StumbleUpon. And the traffic it brings is just an added bonus. It sounds like Diana is just enjoying using the site.

I just started using Stumble! about a week ago and I love it!!! I spent about an hour one night just stumbling around to different sites. I think StumbleUpon is a great way to find some good sites with some good information.

Chris why do I think you're talking about a different kind of stumbling? Maybe I'm just remembering or not remembering some days from my own past.
