I've seen many "paid to surf" sites that pay users .01-.1 per site they visit, I was wondering whether or not it is worth it to buy these services. My website may be appealing to this particular crowd so I'm trying to decide whether or not it would be a worthwhile investment. I currently don't make very much money off of conversions so it would need to be a relatively decent rate.

paid to surf visitors are NOT looking for information or to purchase anything. They are simply paid to register a visit to your pages.

99% won't even look at your pages to see if it has anything useful on it.

It is wasted useless traffic. You want visitors that are interested in your content, not random traffic.

Using such a service can also get you banned if you are using adsense or the like.

I wouldn't do it if i were you. like chrishirst said they dont look at your page they only click on ur link and wait like 30sec and then they get the 0,01$

Oftentimes, it's being done automatically - meaning, no person is present at the computer that rotates the sites in the browser. Waste of money.

ReAlly do work, I would use them but i am not from the US. These ones are the best.

It has a very low rate of conversion, not worth bothering with.

I can confirm this. Google will ban you and tell you that you used autosurf traffic to inflate your ad views. They WILL NOT give you a chance to explain yourself in this situation either.

That's pretty scary considering if somebody wanted to sabotage your site and get your Adsense banned all they'd have to do is put you in a bunch of autosurfs.

As far as Google NOT giving you a change to explain yourself, on the contrary, I was banned when some jerk from the Adsense Support Forum click-bombed one of my sites (be careful of ever going on the Adsense Support Forum)... I did report the suspicious activity before I was banned and I appealed... waited almost two weeks for a response but eventually I was re-instated and I was given a direct e-mail address of a Google AM (account manager) to contact in case I noticed anything fishy in the future.
