Submitting thousands of forum posts in minutes isn't a good idea. Most forums have moderators who recognize this stuff for what it is and delete it. If the post was clearly made by a 'bot, like you're describing, the account is banned to prevent having to clean more unhelpful posts up.
Forums can bring people to your site, because people use them. You can add a link in your signature, and your feed if you have a blog, then, as you make posts, people who are intrigued by what you write will check out your site to find out more about you. But that only works when you make posts that are clearly from a real person, to the people at that forum.
