What has "SEO friendly" (whatever that means) got to do with it?

Yet again chrishirst you have provided a great reply
what’s the deal with you every time someone asks for advice instead of helping you talk down to them your supposed to be a moderator you’re supposed to help to give stupid answers because you’re not cleaver enough to give a detailed reply

maybe your need to learn some design skills of your own after viewing
C And S Software
http://www.candsdesign.co.uk

Your design skills needs updating your site looks like it’s from the 90s how can your give advice when you need some help your self

STOP WITH THE SHORT REPLAYS IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY THING HELPFULL TO SAY DONT SAY IT AT ALL

Maybe if you asked a clear question, we could help.

(What does article submission have to do with Google?)

Well err. No. A moderators function is to help grow the forum. Moderators are not there to provide answers that you agree with.
Because moderators are chosen because they have proven skills in some areas, more often than not the member doesn't agree. But if it makes them rethink their strategy, and chose a possibly more successful course of action who is to say it wasn't helpful.
Forum mods are NOT the font of all knowledge and you should NOT take advice from ANYBODY blindly. What you should do is to consider the alternative opinions from all members THEN decide what to do.

BTW Cleaver

Lucky I don't profess to be a graphic designer then. Not entirely sure where design skills fit into this discussion though.

If the reply made you think, and obviously you did to construct a response then I would consider it was helpful.

Sounds like you should just write your articles as a blog.
Spend the $60/month on advertising

The links you get out of this won't be worth your $60 a month. When the same article gets picked up by a dozen sites, it'll wind up being filtered out of Google's analysis for duplicate content. Chances are most of the sites looking to article directories for content to republish won't have all that much traffic to send.

If you have time to write articles, submitting them is a drop in the bucket by comparison. That won't really change the equation, though, except that you'll still have $60 in your pocket at the end of the month. You'd do better by writing fewer articles for quality sites in your niche that have people who already like the type of content you have.
