Hello
I am thinking of creating a topsites list in order to increase the traffic to my other websites. I would add those websites of mine on the top of the list (featured sites) and people who would visit my topsites list, would probably click on the links to my other sites.

So my question is: is this a good method of increasing traffic or page rank?
Will it be worth my time to make such site?

Yes of course they would!
Do you actually know anybody who visits these sites, because I certainly don't.

I must disagree with chrishirst.. topsites are great for traffic, I have a website of mine (xyber wars) and around 30% of its traffic is from topsites.

- well that depends, are your other sites the same topic as each other?

Topsites are great for getting targetted visitors, providing the topsite is not a general one and is restricted to a specific intrest. Toplists arent good for links in googles eyes as they dont actually show your URL, they usually mask it - so dont hope to raise your PR with topsite lists.

Overall, good if the the topic fits your website. The only other downsize is to get good positions on topsites you need to send clicks back, and if your site is quite small you may struggle to do this, its catch 22.
