ok cool. Mouth to mouth is truely one of the most pure and one really effective marketing strategy. My hosting business is built only one recommendations, customer to customer.

Viral is almost always the best form of marketing. For one, it doesn't require very much work or money on your part, and if someone tells someone how great yoru site is, they're much more likely to stay than if they accidentally stumble upon it by a search engine.

That is most definately true. I will actually increase my use of viral marketing, it is excellent for forums and communities.

Viral because no matter what your search engine ranking is you will still be able to get a lot of traffic.

Forums works great for me. It gives a sense of trust when you know that a real person has replied to your posts.

Viral is really the best and most effective. It may take a while to establish SEO and find approprate advertising placement, word of mouth is by far the best way to grow a business. Its also the most effective to kill it with a bad reputation.

I like JVs. Because when someone has a big and targeted base of users - this is a chance to make nice $$$ quickly with very good conversions.

Of course, big JVers aren't easy to get into the deal. Even despite all *exclusive* commissions and discounts. But I found a good way to motivate them - help JVer and you got him/her much closer to doing JV for you.

Better if you help them with the info / tool / strategy that you want to promote. Thus it makes them super credible to know they are not offering junk to their bases.

Link Baiting can serve as a time/money saver when it comes to a link campaign and it also has an effect close to a viral campaign.

Viral if you can but it's not always that easy... Tryign my hand at PPC right now but with not much success. I usually use forum sigs in unrelated forums.
