I own a blog and I will not post the link yet. I do however have a very good name for it and I use WordPress. I want to know what the best approach is for it and since it's basically my name (the domain), I would like to know what content to publish and how I can make some money off of it.

Any ideas are definitely appreciated.

Put AdSense on it, write nice/good content. Grab good articles etc. etc.

Thanks SEO Portal! I really want to get my blog rolling because I think I write pretty good content and someone told me to really start up a blog. I haven't done much with it, and would actually like a custom made wordpress layout if anyone could do one?

Make sure to expose your feeds. There are alot of syndication sites out there to take advantage of.

Please explain more about exposing feeds. I would like to install all the necessary plugins before I really start adding the content. That would be awesome.

If you know specifically what you want the layout to look like or have a few other sites you'd like to take design elements from, I could help with the custom design. PM me if you're interested.

Well you see I'm not sure what I want. I just want something professional and unique that hasn't been used. I am using a nice layout now which is plain but is professional, but I'd like to go a step higher.

There are many directories/rss feed sites that are blog specific, take advantage and submit your site to as many as possible.
Ping your site once you have posted content.
Spread out the placement content on your site, not just do data dumps of content to the site.
