Hello all,
I have a sports website that I need to create for a print sports newspaper that I help put together. (Distributed throughout Ontario, Canada but we will be pushing the website side of the publications with essentially a world wide audience in mind but still taking advantage of local/targetted content and promotion efforts. We'll also be piggybacking a non-local general sports forum to take advantage of our resources)
I'm just at the drawing board right now, trying to figure out how to set things up. If anyone feels like answering these questions, I'd appreciate it.
1. What are your favorite sports websites. (any sport(s) / any location)
2. Where might I be able to find a "sporty" website template? (Perhaps some gaming type templates may also port well into a sports theme?)
3. What kind of features do you expect out of a sports website?
4. Do you appreciate sports websites that give you more then the common mainstream sports? (pingpong, tennis, curling, lawnbowling, martial arts, horseriding, fitness/health, a little bit of everything)
5. I have an idea where for a small fee, I would like to offer locals an option to send me a photo and story and then run them there very own front page of our newspaper plaqued. Do you think people would think this is neat? (example: 5 year old son graduates to his karate yellow belt, proud parents order custom front page plaque print of this event)
6. What other "people optimization" features or functions suggestions do you have for a sports themed website. (local audience or worldwide, any suggestions.)
Thank you.
