Hey,

Well, I have setup Directory-Owners.com a few weeks a go now and it has started to become quite active.

But I would like the input of other members. I have started to buy links in high ranking directories and am looking to buy ad space(any suggestions?)

On the forum we have got over 900 posts and 80+ members and these are all unique members with none of them being from paid posting services etc which I am quite proud about.

Promoting have never been one of my strongest points so any input on how to promte it further would help

Maybe if you started a contest at your forums it'd bring in some members. It doesn't need to be as big as EarnersForum, make a unique contest with prizes that members on your website would like. Make good guidelines for the contest so that you don't end up getting "temporary" members (require referrals to make quality posts, require members to make quality posts, etc.).

We have done one contest so far! Which got in a few members but I want to wait a bit before we do another one. Dont like to follow another one stright after this one

try posting over on phplinkdirectory.com and putting your site in your sig. i bet you'll get some ref's from that

i like the articles and press release idea. try that. there are some inexpensive resources that have been mentioned in similar threads. search threads throughout EF and give writing a go.
