I am unfamiliar with MySpace, but recognize the benefit of the system, as it relates to my site. I would use MySpace as a channel to attract visitors.

How would you go about hiring

1. someone to design a skin appropriate for my primary web site
2. someone to run that magical invitational set of processes an other thread discusses on here? (get more "friends")

For getting more friends on MySpace, a nice rule of thumb is to never pay more than $10 per 1,000 friends.

About getting skins designed, I'm not your man

Dime per friend? Is that the going rate for members on MySpace? Are you suggesting you are the man to get 1,000 friends for $10? So for $100 you can get 10,000 friends? How well can I target that group of friends?

I saw someone on NP selling myspace accounts for $8 per 1,000 friends. If you are running a site on the economics of World War 2, you won't get a lot of hits from buying a myspace account. But if you run a spring break photo website... ya you probably will.

Getting a custom myspace skin would probably run you at least $75. I've never seen one advertised, so that's a total guess.

Yep, they generally go for about $10 per 1,000 like stated already. You can buy accounts with targetted demographs but it would probably cost more. Why not start your own? You can request up to 500 friends daily and that way you can choose who you request.

Only older accounts can do 500 friends a day. If it was made after July 1st, it has a 50 friend/day cap.

What is "NP"? I've got a site now that I've been running for a while that I think might do very well from some advertising through MySpace bulletins. Where can I buy these 1,000 friend accounts?

What about design?

I use eLance for some things, but MySpace expertise is not available there.

actually you shouldnt request more then 350 friends per day. 500 was the old limit and people have reported that it was lowered about a month ago.

when you buy accounts it is normally $10 per 1k friends and the more friends the cheaper it gets. if you wanted targetted accounts then it might be more expensive since with the current way of getting 350 friends per day it will take a few days to get 1000 friends and i doubt that many people will put an effort to make $10 .

as far as design why not just use existing (free) template?

PM me if you have any other questions

Can you really only request 50 friends on new accounts?

I custom design layouts.
I usually charge around $100 USD for a fully customed layout.

If you are interested, PM me.
I can allow some negotiation on the price if necessary.

I would love to get a link (PM or here) to some of the verifiable MySpace profiles you two have created.
