My community has grown large enough that I feel it's time to undertake a branding campaign. I want people to associate my site with programming help. When anyone has a problem, I want them to think "Oh, dream.in.code could probably answer this!"
Right now, all of my thread titles in the search engines look like this:
- C and C++ - How To Check Duplicat Line In Text File?
- Flash & ActionScript - help: buttons whit more than 4 states?
- .NET Framework - .NET Forum Rules
- C and C++ - Classes- Help A Girl Out

- Web Development - Trying to do something innovative here, but it's ...
- C and C++ - need HELP
- Databases - Storing Credit Card Numbers..
This works wonders for search engine traffic, but there is no name association. Sure people see the URL, but I want more. I'm planning on doing some sort of adwords CPM/site targetted campaign, and a few other banner campaigns, but I'm wondering if changing my titles to include the name of the site... something like this:
- C and C++ - How To Check Duplicat Line In Text File? [Dream.In.Code]
- Flash & ActionScript - help: buttons whit more than 4 states? [Dream.In.Code]
- .NET Framework - .NET Forum Rules [Dream.In.Code]
- C and C++ - Classes- Help A Girl Out
[Dream.In.Code]
- Web Development - Trying to do something innovative here, but it's ... [Dream.In.Code]
- C and C++ - need HELP [Dream.In.Code]
- Databases - Storing Credit Card Numbers.. [Dream.In.Code]
I think putting the name of the site in the title may help branding, but hurt my SEO. I'm not really willing to sacrafice my SEO for the sake of branding right now, but I'm curious what you all think. Also, I'm open to suggestions for good brand building campaigns on a small budget (<$3000)
