How would one go about doing this? And no, I'm not starting a word cloud site, but I just would like to / need to know.

A good idea would be to affiliate yourself with another company. Like 500wordsite.com has done with jumpline.com. If you look they now offer 1 years free vds hosting with each of their sales. This means more advertising further afield.
