Promoting on myspace bulletins? Where and how much?

Do you know of any simple and cheap way to advertise on myspace bulletins? I've seen some guys on various forums offering that kind of advertising but i wouldn't trust just about anybody. Is there any service or site that you use yourselves? And how much should you pay for such service?

I just stumbled across www.mysocialmarketing.com yesterday while researching this very same idea. However, I would just build up your own friend database so that you can do bulletins yourself. Buy Badder Adder or Adder Robot, and you'll be able to get it done with a couple of weeks. Then, you can target your own demographic.

I've checked out mysocialmarketing.com, while they do look good, why dont they mention the number of bulletins for example, they are charging $99 to send the msg to 1000's of bulletins, but they are not saying now much exactly, unless I missed it somewhere.

Yeah, I'm not to sure about them. Their website is fairly nice-looking but overall not as informative as I would like i to be. Also, their prices are a tad bit high considering you can buy bulletins for much less elsewhere.
If anyone's tried them out, let us know the results!

I bought some from BulletinShock the other day. Payed for Campaign 3 and I've still got 3 days to run on it, getting some good quality traffic at the moment.
Don't buy from forums as some guys said, try to build up your own accounts or pay for a proper service.

Karl, how much traffic did you get as a result of the promotion? I'm thinking of getting into this too since myspace exploded...

I've had around 3000 uniques in the two days and the campaign got started late on on the first day. Which I think is very good.
When I was talking to the owner before I was told I get a 10% discount on campaign 1 if I buy again or refer somebody, it's not an amazing saving but it's something.
If your interested PM me with your email address and I'll do my best to get you the 25% off before you order.

No very god actuallywhen you consider the traffc doesnt convert into anything and the traffic dies out very fast. Also, the bulletins are epensive.
SEO is far better than bulletinism.

I've had some very good repeat traffic from this bulletin service and quite a bit of revenue.
If you want longterm go for SEO, but if you want shortterm go for the bulletins.
It's all about preference really, but I'm definately going to explore MySpace Bulletins again, be it to start my site up or give it a quick boost.

I see know reason why you cannot turn bulletin traffic into returning traffic. :taz:

I personally agree that bulletins are only a short term solution to drive traffic to a new site.
If you make a profit on your site after buying a bulletin then why not continue it!
Try digital point forums, that's where a lot of people sell bulletins.

I sell bulletins on forums. People seem to be happy. I only have 4300 friends though, so I only charge like $1 a bulletin. I have seen some people on digitalpoint selling 1 bulletin for $40 and he had like 15 people take him up on the offer!

I run mysocialmarketing.com - yes you did miss it  :
mysocialmarketing (.com) /shop/index.php?productID=124
(cant post URL's until after 15 posts, so please reconstruct URL above)
Actually it goes out to 12'000 in that package.
I wouldn't advise people from this forum to come order my normal services, you bunch, like me, are the kind of people out there doing to for their self and saving big money. Grab yourself badder adder and get building a list then test bulletins out yourself.
@nickohrn
Yes the prices are tad higher (maybe alot higher) than random people on forums will offer, but I totally admit that I'm out to walk people step-by-step through the myspace marketing arena... personally I do look to work with companies and record labels more than individuals.
Anyway guys, it's nice to be mentioned in a forum I lurk abit - so good luck with your myspace endeavours and feel free to PM or email if your looking for any advice.

I purchased adder robot last week, im up to 900 and something members now.
Its actualy quite hard...apparently more than 500 additions a day is risky as myspace get wise pretty quicky...is this true?

It's not only risky, but non effective. You can send out more than 500 per day, but after 500 you hit a soft-block. You can still send the requests but they are never recieved.
To avoid getting accounts deleted I'd advise avoiding (none of these are fact but just from my general un-scientific experience):
> Doing anything with newly made accounts. Wait 24 hours. Maybe I'm paranoid :shuriken:
> Sending out more than 10 identical messages... they just get deleted and never reach the intended recipitent. Sending a few hundred indentical messages usually leads to automatic account deletion.
> If you ignore the first point, then don't use Captcha Killer in the first day. It sends messages to yourself, and even though they're unique I've had accounts closed where that seems to be the only thing that could of been identifiable.
There's probably loads more... that's just a few.
Oh by the way, generally work on a 30% acceptance rate. Send out 300 requests get 100 friends. On that logic you can do about 700 a week lazily (no captchas) and 1000 with captcha typing.
