Ok, apologies if this is a stupid question, but has anyone ever purchased adwords in order to generate revenue from possible clicks on their website.

i.e. Have you had a site with adsense on it and purchased adwords to advertise it and earn a profit from people clicking on your adsense?

If so, what are the results?

if your going for the same keywords theres no point. The idea is that you purchase PPC with smaller companies where the max bids are much lower, send them to a landing page where you know the adsense ads showing will provide you with more $ than your paying for your traffic. Ive never done this, i guess its all about testing

The min bid is $0.06 for the keyword, but I'm averaging $0.23 per click on my site.

So I need one 1 of every 4 uniques to click an ad in order to break even.

yea, that's a 25% CTR, which you probably aren't going to get :/. You are trying what's called PPC Abitrage, which is, well, you've got it, but it's used more with CPM offers, where the lead you generate is worth like $50 or even Hundreds of dollars. If you have a marketing budget of 3,000 a month, you spend $100 a day hoping that you will generate one or two big leads that will get you into profit. It's all a numbers game...

How can you tell that the traffic from adwords, were the ones clicking your ads, not somewhere else. Or maybe I read your topic wrong.

Yes, I have tried that once, and it did not work out for me.
One fellow entrepreneur that I talk with a lot have had success with this in the past though, so it might work if you really lean how to set it up.

I supose it's trial and error, I'll try alternative approaches first.
