So I acquired a Myspace account with a couple thousand friends on it. Are there any tips for sending out bulletins to people, without making it look like blatant advertising? I will be promoting one of my myspace layout sites.

How often should you send bulletins? 10 times a day? 5 times? 3 times? Do you include target=_blank in the code when sending out bulletins?

It doesn't matter how many times you send. I have seen people create an image linking to there website, and it's a simple message saying something like 'Hello thanks for adding me, click here'.

I suppose you wouldn't look like you were blantantly advertising then.

If you're desperate for traffic and think you're MySpace hits will convert into $$ or members you can try 2 things.

1) MySpace Flash Redirect - Just use a cool title, get them to open the bulletin and VOILA -- traffic.

2) Lying Bulletins - Put a pic of a hot chick on your profile then tell them they can see you naked if they click on your link and sign up or something.

I recommend using @@@@ instead of !!!! or any other character because they take more space.

You might want to put a sick layout on the profile that you just got, change it often, and then post a bulletin asking people to comment on the new layout every time you change it. (Just make sure you have a good sized link to your site on the profile)
