So I am going to be promoting a really cool new free service via myspace this weekend and I want to know how to protect myself. Ive read many stories of users getting either banned from their accounts or their commissions stripped. This scares me.
What can I do?
Currently I have adsense and azoogle in my layout.

Um your post isnt helpful henry. That is spamming.
If you are going to use myspace for affiliate programs you risk losing your account because the myspace traffic quality tens to be poor. There is no way around it. Adsense publishers have lost thier accounts over myspace and affiliates have had thier accounts disbaled.

Not sure i've ever read a helpful post from you actually. :001_rolleyes:
Um define 'helpful'? If you mean by not encouraging people to spam myspace yea im not 'helpful'.

By helpful I mean posting anything with useful information in it.
It is subject to interpretation as to what constitutes a 'useful' post. I don't see how you can make that conclusion.

Just dont go with cpc/cpa. Rev-share is going to be your best bet. There not that easy to find but the revenue pays off in the long run and no one ever looses(you nor the company).

That's an interesting take on it. I mostly agree with that statement.
Couldn't you just go with someone like azoogle who doesn't care if you advertise on myspace? At least that is what I have read. I'm waiting for my phone call to finish the approval, I will ask then to be sure.
Azoogle completely frowns upon mySpace advertising and WILL disable accounts. Some other CPA companies are ok with it as long as you keep the lead quality high (i.e. not saying 'Click here for free crap')
