Do you put testimonials on your site?

If you do where do you get them? Do people just email you, do you ask for them, or are they paraphrased from conversations?

I started to. I have a blog attached to my site where people can give testimonies. I only have one person on there. I barely promoted it at all. I just asked people to leave feedback if they wanted. One person recently was wanting to leave us feedback somewhere. I really need to get back to her so she can.

I think the thing you have to be careful of, is for the testimonies not to get cheesy.

First of all, for what do you want a testimonial?

If you have a list, just send an email to your subscribers asking them how they benefit from product or service.

If you don't have a list, ask to us in the Forum!

We will review your product service, and give our thoughts.

Tip: it must always be true testimonials, never fake.

Tbh, i ignore testimonials anyway, they all seem so fake and written by the same person :s

things like
"Yeah, we used this for a month, and our results were amazing! I definitely recommend them!" seem kinda forced or made-up.

Oh Deception!

I use testimonial, and I did never made them.

Every marketers are saying to NEVER do a fake testimonial, because if your reputation is touched online, you are finish!

It will spread at the light speed and you will have problems in the future!

I do belive that there is a lot of Scammers out there though!

You ask the testimonials to your customers, or not customers, but actually someone who read the product!

I finished to right an ebook and I will start to sell it. I almost finished the sales page...

What will I do know: Ask for testimonials.

I will send an aemail to my list (today) and ask to three person if they want to review my book (they will get it for free).

After that, they send me their testimonial, Good or Bad.

If it's bad, I will ask them why, then work on the weakness of the book, and resend it to them.

When it's ready, I will start to sell it.

I wouldn't call that "testimonials" but "feedback".

DISAGREE.

When you give to hint to your people - just say them to express anything they think about, testimonials look very natural and unique because THEY ARE natural and unique.

But I prefer to get testimonials from famous folks. It is harded but worth the effort as their opinion is more than gold.

I have a nice testimonal on the main page of my hosting site. I think it adds to our credibility.

It's a good one.

I prefer those testimonials with URL like this one, because if you doubt, you can even contact the guy!
