Hello everyone,

Ideas Wanted: I am looking for a few good ways to build a downline fast while not killing the pocket book.

I think that there are few stand-alone actions that can be taken to achieve this. My thought is that one must employ an array of techniques when setting out for a new campaign.

I guess I am looking for the right combination.

Has someone out there had a huge response on a strategy that was maybe unexpected? Be Honest... What is really working?

Build a squeeze page, and promote it:

* Sig in Forum: offer a Free Ebook,
* Write articles and distribute them to article directories.

I practice these 2, my subscribers are coming in slowly.

I will add a form to my blogs too, because now I start to have a lot of visitors.

Also, you can try to build a viral site.

It is a Viral Site. the owner Matt Callen, gives you a really good offer. Lot of people sign in to get that peace of software, and they must leave their name and email address.

He get hundreds of subscribers doing nothing, because people promote his software!

Whay do they promote it?
Because once you sign up, there is an OTO (One Time Offer), and when someone buy (before getting the freebie, but he is not abliged to buy), the one who promote get a commission.

Ben, here are three strategies that I use that are free and
very effective to get visitors to your website that actually end
up turning into paid customers.

Strategy #1 = Traffic Exchanges: I personally have success with
traffic exchanges. It is very important that you use them
correctly to get the best out of them. Use them to collect email
addresses or use them by advertising a catchy splash page that
will attract the viewers attention.

Never use them to advertise a generic affiliate page or a whole
webpage. You want to let the viewers see a splash page first
which will catch their attention and then have them go to the
main page or have a splash page offering a gift in exchange for
an email address.

Here is a tutorial that I have in my forum about traffic
exchanges. The tutorial is directed towards the members of my
membership website but it applies to anyone who uses traffic

Strategy #2 = Writing And Submitting Article To Directories:
Everyone has something that they can write about. The idea is to
write an article any where from 450 characters to about 900
characters. Then you can submit them to as many article
directories as possible. Two of the most popular are
ideamarketers.com and ezinearticles.com

You can also use a submission service like articlemarketer.com
which will submit your article to thousands of websites and
directories. Here is how you get the traffic. At the end of the
article you want to have a resource box. A resource box can
simply be a 2 - 3 line sentence about yourself with a link to
your website.

This will bring you traffic in a number of ways. People that read
the article will go on and click on to your website because they
just read a good article written by you. This builds up your
reputation as a professional.

Another way that it will send you traffic is that since now you
have thousands of websites linking to you, you will also receive
search engine traffic. If you don't want to write an article you
can also hire a ghost writer to write them for you.

Strategy #3 = Participating in forums: Notice that I said
participating in forums. Not spamming forums. By helping out
other people in forums and offering valuable information people
will go ahead and click on your signature. These are very
targeted visitors because you just helped them out and they are
curious as what you have to offer to them.

Try all of the above strategies on a weekly basis and you will
start to see results.

I am not using it any more. I was promoting an affiliate program with it.

I was advertising that page on Adwords, it is psychologic. Do the same with your keywords.

The next step is to add your squeeze page to your sig, and be cool with your list!

For articles:

I use a very big list. I will write areport on article today, after I finish to deal with my articles.

It may be ready tomorrow. (It's already in Draft since a long Time. I have to type very fast...)

I also pay Idea Marketers to be on their homepage, because they have a lot of visitors.
I will start another service which is recommended too: http://www.submityurarticles.com (but a little bit expensive.)

I also use ArticleMarketers.com (Free Service, but I will upgrade soon. It is the cheapest, and it's a good service)

I prefer to do self funding campaigns that help me to "stay in the game" while my downline is growing. I give away a lot of information but I also have paying resources in the small, medium and large category. The small to medium dollars help me to pay for more advertising while the large category puts a little in my pocket.

I finally realized that 95% of the people I talk to will say "NO" to my offer. BUT, most people still like information and would prefer to read something rather than do. So, I use that to fund my proposals that uncover the people who really want to take action. I've been doing it this way for about a year and it's kept me from going broke at the beginning!

Yes, actually I am an active member with PWS. I have like 17250 members and 143850 pre-enrollees in my powerline (not really a downline - no way to contact these people or put them on private list). I only have like 6 in my matrix and only 2 were personally enrolled. I have not really been promoting PWS as I have been busy with other things. It is a compelling program and that is why I joined. I will be promoting it in my blog and websites soon.

Anyway, what I was asking about is if anyone out there had a particular strategy (that makes high conversions and builds a list faster).

I guess, I am looking for a golden egg here. To me, it is a lot of hard work building downlines and lists. Not that I have a problem with hard work. I was just wondering if someone found a more cost effective and time saving approach. After all, that is what networking is all about.

Some of the tips in this thread have already been helpful to me and my team. I appreciate the tips - there is always room to learn and grow. If one is too proud to ask then that one usually misses out.

Have you tryed LeadFactory.com ? You should go and check out what they have to offer... no need for me to get into details, they can tell it to you much better.

I have used their service for a while and I'm constantly getting new leads for my lists.

I guess I'm struggling over this thread. What, exactly, is a downline, and what is it's purpose? I'm thinking we are talking about a mailing list here, but I'm not completely sure on this.

A downline is a group of people that you have recruited to a company’s affiliate program and then teach them what you know about the company you are promoting so they can promote it and make money also. You, then can make commissions from their efforts.

A list is targeted leads. Building a list is a good way to build a solid downline. Therefore, the bigger your list, the more potential recruits you have for your downline. The faster you build this list, means you can build a downline faster and start making money sooner!

You may find it helpful to send all of your leads/prospects/traffic to your squeeze page first and have that redirect to your affiliate program after they give you their name and email address...this will help avoid the problem you mentioned before about having "no way to contact these people or put them on private list". I think this is what the others have been mentioning too. If you would like, for a small fee, I could design a quick software program that cranks out lead capture pages for you by just answering a few simple questions. Let me know and maybe we can work something out.

I've bought a list and once or twice and have obtained some success with it but it really depends on who you're purchasing from and how reputable the program is that you're buying from. For the most part I still have approximately 70% of the list sticking with me for now so I have gotten some return for my investment.

I know it's not a yes or no response but I hope my 2 cents will at least give you some insight for your decision.
