I see so many people running myspace sites... is it just me, or is the thing over-saturated? I'm not joining the gold rush so that i can focus on my own stuff, but it seems the gold rush never works for people after the first few... or at least, they don't achieve the same level of success.

Myspace is different in that it has an endless userbase of complete idiots. Idiots who can't tell the difference between an ad and navigation. If you manage to attract a couple dozen myspace idiots to your site daily then you'll make money because your CTR will almost always be in the double digits.

Hey guys,

I don't have a myspace site myself, but I have noticed the absolute lack of any marketing/info products regarding myspace marketing. Is it because people think it's a flash in the pan or are the "Gurus" just slow to pick up on new stuff?

I was at the Apple store the other day and I must have seen 10 high school girls playing with their mysapce accounts. There might be a ton of spam, but there are also a ton of real users.

Hey Bookworm, I havn't set up a myspace site yet, but it's on my to-do list for tomorrow. You never know how long this craze can last. From what I understand it's being taken to all sorts of levels in marketing. So see ya on my space!

So how does a myspace resource site work.

1. Buy myspace resource site script and host it.
2. Buy a myspace account with lot's of friends
3. Spam the friends via bulletins
4. Profit ?

6. Repeat the process.
Sad but that's almost entirely correct. I fixed it for you

Thanks for the comment Bryan.

I still don't see an answer to whether it's saturated or not. Can anyone name someone who started in the past 9 months who is having real success?

Not exactly success for the high earners I guess but since I just recently got back into website building and designing, my MySpace site gets about $2 - $3/day from YPN and started late August.

I started a few months a go but less than 9 and am making 3-4 dollars a day with occasional 6-8 dollar lucky days.

I believe it is oversaturated but the nice thing is link exchanges are easy to find. I actually think the key is just to accept any link exchanges. I have always though to make sure I was getting a good deal on a link exchange but I have seen sites who don't care how much traffic you get just add tons of exchanges and make tons from it. I think that is what I am going to start doing. It evens out for your partners too. Yes, there are more links to choose from but since there is so much more traffic the partners end up getting more traffic in the end.
