After using BA successfully for some time, I bought three more copies and haven't been able to use ANY of them since. I've written their help desk THREE times to get help, and even called their office.
I was relieved when (three weeks after my purchase) I actually got a mail from Michelle herself, swearing to correct our problem and apologizing for the trouble my business has had in dealing with hers. She promised to send me the corrected information immediately.
That was days ago. I've not seen my new license numbers. Strangely enough, though, I've gotten three more spam letters from BA - those NEVER seem to break. And now, for two days, the badderadder.com site isn't even running.
I really do understand the trials of running a small business online. Managing a software dev team means that I also understand how hard it can be to keep up with bugs in your product, but I also understand that you don't take people's money and run, and that's what I feel is happening here. Because (part of) my job literally consists of gathering people up and pointing them towards my site, I have a lot of friends online. (20k and counting, just for my business, and another 8k or so via myspace adding.) I frequently get asked about adding people on myspace and would really love the money that I could earn with an affiliate link to BA, but at the moment, I wouldn't put my reputation on the line endorsing this product. Furthermore, given the service I've gotten there, I'd hesitate to use any product endorsed by Michelle.
It's really a pity they can't get it together on the support end, because the product itself generally runs better than most that I've tried, and I've tried them all.
