What if:

You have created a clean looking website.
It does have a resemblence to digg.com.
The way it works is the same:

Users register and submit their stories/links to websites with description.
Other users vote for that link and add it to their bookmarks.

10 votes gets you on the frontpage. So good quality gets you a lot of votes.

BUT.

The website is new. The idea is not new. There are no users yet.

SO.

How to promote this? That is the question i have for you earners.

I would suggest it targets a specific niche though, not just tech or something.

I didn't notice the "what if", well I still say you should stick to a certain niche.

Unless you do something like http://techtagg.com/ (revenue sharing like DP).

I was thinking of focussing on Internet business. Like SEO, monetization etc.
But i`m not sure if it would get many people interested and submitting / discussing links.
