It has been round and round about myspace and what networks allow what and what you can and cannot advertise...

From talking with account managers from various CPA networks and other CPA promoters. i will say you are putting yourself at risk by promoting via myspace.

1. Are against promoting the offers DIRECTLY meaning you need to promote to a site.

2. When promoting to a site you are putting your account at risk due to quality of myspace traffic for most things (except ringotnes) the quality of the leads are low and i have talked with a few people that were asked to stop promoting certain offers due to myspace traffic was not producing quality leads.

What is my take on it... Advertising via myspace is becoming a very risky way to do business due to recent changes and due to the amount of people sending people VIA hacked accounts.

Is there money to be made still... Of course yes... but i feel you are walking a fine line....(which is part of reason i no longer promote via myspace)

What is yalls take?

I agree that MySpace is becoming more and more of a risk... I started making money off of MySpace towards the end of 2004 and I have been very successful at it. But nowadays, it's just getting out of hand and I think it will continue to get harder and harder to make an easy profit.

If you are going to continue promotion through MySpace, you definitely need to direct all traffic to a site of your own instead of a direct offer... Sadly

Hmmm, i've actually talked to a rep on one of the leading CPA networks (not gonna mention which, don't want people there mad at me), and they carefully said that MySpace marketing is permitted.

You just have to ask the right way

I stopped promoting CPA on myspace a while back when I decided to get serious about CPA and start actually putting money into it.

It's actually becoming a risk to even promote adsense or YPN based sites on myspace. They're dropping accounts for anything these days.

I would leave to hear some more details about that =), maybe open a thread about it and describe your steps without spilling too many beans?

What is there to know Allen? You just spend some money on PPC advertising and send them to the campaign landing page

Like the money he put in, how much does he expect it to bring back in, what scheme is he in....that's what's there to know illusion, now it may seem obvious to you, but there are people out there that don't know as much, i'm one of them.
