I've been developing some AJAX based myspace tools, I figured out how space station gets by the friend request captcha and decided to put up a free adder that bypasses the captcha as a taste of things to come.
For those of you interested: the url is.....denied cus I need to post more than 15 times (wtf!!!???) you will need to email me : socialnetbot@gmail.com
perhaps someone else can post the url on my behalf?
some things:
1) it will only work in IE (technical restrictions out of my control)
2) you will need to add [domainname...denied again] to your trusted sites for this to work (since we are cross domain scripting to myspace) - or you will get an access denied message. (oh and you will need to close and reopen the browser for the settings to take effect).
That sucks I hear you cry! Well, yes and no. Weigh it against having to download and install software, and then do updates everytime myspace changes. With this approach, sure you have to tinker your settings a bit, but I fixed my javascript with the new bypass logic and posted it up to the site in less than a day and everyone always has the latest version (since it is web based). With other bots you have to wait for the update, download, re-install etc....
Anyway, the rest of the site is still very much work in progress, but I wanted to put something out and see what people think.
As for security, your username and password go from your browser straight to myspace, we do not store them. For those of you worried about account phishing, the site is no more or no less risky than any bot you would install on your machine. If you have questions you can post here and I will reply.
