I run Two Myspace resource sites, one is getting 2k a day, which is really low for this kind of field. How do you guys market your sites? is it all as easy as link exchanges or do you have to do more?

Hi alex. I get most of my traffic from link exchanges. I was getting a good amount from google but something happened and I lost the spot I had in google. Hopefully I will get there again.

You can get a lot more traffic buy buying links. You can find a lot of good link sales on here or DP. Other than that, I heard that commenting profiles that have a lot of friends is a good way to get traffic.

I am soon going to start marketing my first and only myspace resource site, spent the past 2-3 months slowly getting a new design done...way behind schedule heh. Result is great though, very good looking unique layout.

It has...or at least had around 2500 unique visitors when I got it. Now after the PR update the other day it actually lost a PR (I was kinda shocked, no idea what happened). Something also happened to my placement in google, I've lost all google traffic, used to have about 300 a day and today it's been 0.

Anyway, not entirely sure how to market the site. I plan to do a lot of links exchanges, but so far I have seen very little traffic from any links exchange I've got. Also, kinda hard to get any good links exchanges when you're PR2 and ~2k uniques a day.

Unique content pwns all. Just look at modmyprofile.com

His not once sent a bulletin out and its safe to say his established his site far better then most.

I don't think it is, should fall under the category of a page made only to display ads, but Google doesn't seem to care (look at all MFA sites).

His content on the actual site is good though, a lot of different tools in one place.

there are lots around but you can check my link if you want.

i have been quite successful with my myspace site.

what people dont realise is that you can get lots....and i mean LOTS of traffic using myspace....its such a great resource.

if you know how to utilize that traffic you can make big bucks... there are a lot of people doing this ....like myself.....but there are alot of people doing it wrong....when its the most simple things getting in their way.

Problem with low traffic sites and links exchanges is that you won't get any good exchanges unless you pay for it, since you won't be sending enough traffic for a high traffic site to give you a good link.

I was going to market my myspace site via myspace but now they kinda patched that, so right now I don't know what steps to take to promote my site without spending money.
