THINGS THAT DON’T WORK

I will add a few thoughts on things that just do not work any longer as internet is an ever evolving medium . They are a total waste of time and money. If you don’t know what some of these things are, don’t worry about it. You don’t need to know. But some of the items on the list will probably surprise you.

- - “free classifieds”
- - free for all link sites (FFAs)
- - viral generators
- - banner exchanges
- - link exchanges
- - search engine posting
- - multiple search engine and FFA posting
- - online “classifieds”
- - safelist contact name blasters
- - literally anything with the word “blaster” in it
- - guaranteed sign ups
- - paid guaranteed click thrus
- - practically anything you have to pay for
- - just about anything with the word “viral” in it
- - purchased leads or free leads, it doesn’t matter if they are “double opt-in”
- - auto-surf exchanges
- - paid surf exchanges

This is a simple word of advise from someone who has wasted a lot of time, effort and money on the net. Please don't re-invent wheel of folly !!!

Please add to this list your experience in advertising on the internet.

I agree a lot of these are not so good for marketing business opportunities, but they may still have some life left for advertising other subjects where there's obviously less competition,

best wishes,

Jonathan.

Wealthonline, have you considered that you could sell an ebook with ways that don't work for making money? Then put some that do. Might save newbies a lot of heartache if they could learn from YOUR school of hard knocks - and it would be profitable for you.

I like your approach of listing CRAP that doesn't work. Kinda like my sig.

Studies have shown that people are more receptive to negatives ie; loss, pain, ect

I dissagree with your take on Link Exchanges since they are a good way to get your new sites indexed. You also get PR. Plus they are free.

I agree that 99% of anyting containing 'guaranteed' 'blaster' 'viral' are crap.
