After reading this forum I am not yet sure how to promote with MySpace:

- Badder Adder - recommended initially, but not working now
- CPA offers or Google AdSense promoted with MySpace traffic - get your account banned
- Driving traffic to your websites via MySpace bulletins and messages - get banned from MySpace

How do you market with MySpace?

When you say get your account banned for the second one which account do you mean? The myspace account or adsense? There are risks no matter how you market using myspace. Personally for adding I reccomend http://socialnetbot.com

I don't think that is really true. There are people and businesses that market themselves on Myspace without sending bulletin spam, and they're not in any danger of being banned. But yes, if you look at Myspace as another medium to "make money fast" and to collect recipients to send spam then yes there will be risks.

I agree. MySpace seems to be a big mystery unless you're in the "in" crowd.

Unfortunately, high-school was a long time ago for me!

MySpace marketing seems so "dirty" that I'm either not going to do it, or I'm going to pay someone to do it for me. That's my current decision.

It's for all age groups, not just teenagers.

NUMBER ONE : NOW THIS IS PRICELESS

One day I was doing a Google search and it was something totally unrelated to Myspace. I saw several of the top listings were from Myspace profiles. That really got me thinking “Wow.. if they’re at the top of Google listings for
pretty popular keywords, then it must be a good, viable opportunity” So I started really delving into that and started adding friends with some pretty high PageRank by doing an advanced Google search for Myspace profiles. It’s amazing to see that these profiles are starting to show up higher than normal content websites.

Something that powerful was really irresistible for AND IT WORKS SO WELL.

NUMBER TWO:

THE SECOND THINGS IS that you really want to fill out your profile AS if you’re talking directly to the viewer. I found that to be the most effective way to come across as enthusiastic and passionate about whatever topic
you want to market. You want to target a loyal group and that (a good profile) really helps you get your point across.

A lot of people throw all sorts of interests together and have a lot of links to their websites. You should really focus your profile on one niche or interest and then dominate it. You want to use keywords in your profile that can get picked up by the search engines. It’s really helpful to focus in on just a handful of keywords that you thing will be the most effective. You’ll also want to use pictures, stories and information so your viewer can perceive you as an expert. Another thing I like to do is join a few of the biggest groups related to your topic or profile. That will give you some exposure to people who have a lot like-minded profiles and start to grow a
friend’s list in a related topic that you’re trying to pursue.

NUMBER THREE

Selecting the right picture is very helpful on MySpace. Pictures are usually the first things that people see. So have a really good picture that stands out. You can make it taller that the usual pictures by using online image editing software like Gimp dot com You also want to use an effective headline. People on Myspace have a real short attention span so you really want something that catches their attention. Have some pictures and videos sprinkled in the profile. Another thing I like to do is to have my profile as readable as possible by using a lot of white space. I’ve noticed many people get these crazy profiles and they add all kinds of crazy CSS style sheets
and go wild. But if you’re marketing on Myspace what you really want to focus on is making it legible so people can read it and see what you have to say. You want to make them go to your offer.

NUMBER FOUR

add an opt-in box list to Your profile

You’ll need to offer something of value to people so you can capture their email address. Once they’ve signed up you want to make sure you deliver what you promised, and also send them an email once or twice a week to give them more information. Not sales junk, but something of real value. While you’re doing that you want to softly promote the offer in your emails. The real emphasis should be on forming a relationship

to go over those again.

1) get links from high ranking users in google.

2) make your profile speak direct to the myspace viewers and come across as an expert

3) using nice clear images and text in your profile to get noticed.

4) start a good list by adding an opt in box so you can softly catch emails and add friends

someone that tells you its not about having a list is dead wrong it is....get a list going and you cant go wrong.

hope this helps

MySpace Marketing is a lot simpler than it seems. Simply put, it's just the process of garnering a friend list of like-minded friends of your target niche, and creating a profile that's of interest to them. The rest is based on your own sole marketing intellect.

My wife built me a MySpace profile and I added about 50 friends.

I'm looking at automated methods of adding friends, but they seem like sure methods to get your profile deleted. Plus, I only want to add the right people to my friends list on that profile. My target market consists mainly of service members and veterans, but a few other niche groups are also desirable.

I am thinking of outsourcing manual friend adding to a group of Ukranians or Romanians. Much better selection that way, with less chance of being banned.

What do you think?

A robot program will save you lots of time and if don't add more than 50 friends a day your account should be ok.

Perhaps the more basic truth is that I just don't want to do it?

Sometimes it is difficult to tell what is really going on in our own heads. Hmmmm...

I hate MySpace! Sorry just my two cents. This could be a viable marketing tool, depending on the type of site your running.

I know exactly what you mean.

I should market one of my sites via MySpace, I just can't make myself do it. It "feels" dirty.
