I've been doing adwords, I've got banners on a few sites, and I post post post on "work at home"/"get paid to" forums. In 2 months I've only managed to get 108 members from a steady 100-200 uniques/day. Of these members only about 10-15 bother to participate. Even with 25% referral commission the activity is still slow.

Any promotion tips?

Get your members to join in the work of promotion. Offer them a huge incentive to promote your site. 100 people promoting will have 100 times the effect of 1 person

They can currently get 25% of all free money that they give away.. I'm not sure what more to offer. 25% will allow me to break even, any more and I'll lose money.. most other incentive sites only offer 10%. The incentive to refer is there, I just wish they'd actually do something about it.

Advertise and get more keyworded text links for your niche. Sites like 500wordsite.com can help.

make it easy for your members to refer others. ie: provide them with exact copy/paste links. also, maybe you can change your incentives - ie if you're giving away cash, maybe give away prices instead, like gift certificates, or whatever. Tangible incentives might work out better.

It's the 80-20 rule ... 20 percent of your customers make up 80 percent of your business. Milk them for whatever you can get.

Get contact and social with others. Use IM, Forum, email as you weapon to make promotion not mass spam. Also don't forget to use Myspace or Friendster as your medium!

I'm looking for better ways to promote my site too and get more interested, targetted traffic. I just added a new poll and tell-a-friend service, but fear that if no one can find my site, how will this ever help? I've done SEO quite well I think...write articles, blog regularly, get links, and post in forums.

I'd also like to have a contest of some sort, but again, if no one can find me, what is the best approach?

Does anyone have success giving away cash prizes?

And what is a huge incentive to get people to promote my site - How would they promote it for me?

Good link building is the key to get traffic from the search engines, get paid to and home business keywords will drive loads of traffic to your site, I suggest that you read more on how to get more traffic from the search engines.

Not sure if you were talking to me above there or not. My site is the first link in my sig file. I rank well in Google for my keywords, but they're not the most popular keywords. More reading about getting traffic...okay!!

Have you tried press releases? Making special promotions for users of certain GPT forums? Are you sending a monthly newsletter with your new top paying offers?
