It's usually best to write your own articles, or atleast hire someone to create original content for you.

Yeah, stale content is really not the thing, it is often not related to your site which can really put users off. It's best to get targeted content that only you or a paid writer can provide.

You can be a member of articlemarketer.com, submit an article and they will be the one who will submit to the article directories.

I think when your article gets digg, you can gain alot of traffic this way.

Buying blog posts is another alternative to article submission. I will do such promotion activities for some of my new sites soon. I am planning to select only highest quality of article directories and buy blog posts.
