Show us a URL and maybe we can help you.

Ever tried exchanging links with other sites?

How long has your site been up? If you submitted the URL to search engines, it still takes time for them to index your site. Also, if you haven't optimized your pages for your major keywords, your site might not show up in search results even when it is indexed. It is hard to get good listings in search engines - just putting up a site and submitting to the engines isn't good enough anymore.

Writing articles will help, if the articles are well-written. Have you submitted the articles to lots of article directories, posted them on your site only, or what?

Heyya,

If you - or anyone, for that matter - wants to submit their articles to a ton of relevant article directories (or, if time is a factor, to just the highest Google PR ranking directories), check out my Directory of Article Directories.

I just updated it all by hand (!!) this week, and you may find it handy to use for manual submissions since there's a direct 'submit' link for each of the sites. And along with eCommerce specific and multiple category directories, I also have quite a few niche ones as well - which are almost always best to submit to if your article has a similar topic.

Do a google search for:
article directories arcana
to find it.

Hope that helps and best of luck!

Get some real HTML in there and ditch the flash text! Content pages need optimized URLs for good SERP ranks, plus the source doesn't even contain your content. Ouch.

I don't see you indexed in any SEs yet either. If you are gunning for SERPs then you need incoming links with targetted anchor text from related sites.

whoa....all of that just went right over my head lol. well, I don't know HTML...at all. and the site isn't very old at all. I'll be adding alot more content that will be uniquely written/designed by me...eventually that is. and I have no idea what you mean by optimizing your pages. yeah, you can tell I'm a novice lol. just try and explain things to me like I'm retarded cause at this point I basicly am hahah but anyways I've only submitted my articles to one directory. and I did submit the site to the SE's but how long does that usually take? I also got some link exchanges with some related sites that get some pretty major traffic. so hopefully they can give me advice on content and originality cause some of them said and I quote "you're site is impressive and has alot of potential" so this isn't an idea I just wanna drop but improve into something that'll be around for years to come. so I guess my next move is to start learning HTML so I can give the site an overhaul and get it off the hosting service and then wait on you guys for an explanation of page optimization and what else you guys can do for me. thanks guys:shuriken:

You could add your site to Stumbleupon.com
It gets me lots of visitors but it depends on how many people rate your site.

Another idea is to built a Squido Lens around it. Squidoo ranks well in Google so it might help people to find you.

Good Luck,

Catharina
sorry, I am not allowed to put in the links but you will find them I gues...

I could use the help also, I have some web sites and it seams that unless you have a ton of money to advertise you don't get very far with them. Maybe I just don't know the right way to go about it. I will be reading all of your suggestions!
