Have people tried marketing on YouTube or Bebo instead of myspace? Are they good markets to get into? I hope so, or I've just wasted my time in writing a YouTube adder and messenger....you can check it out at socialnetbot.com

I'm starting a site that needs youtube promotion since it's gonna about acoustic covers (there's a ton there). I don't understand your youtube bot though.

Can you be more specific? Basically, it works like a myspace adder...goto to someones profile...extract all the usernames (youtube equiv of a friend id) from either their friends list or subscribers list...then you can send friend requests to them or send messages to them. Pretty much the same as a myspace bot.

MySpace is great for Niches.
However, note that MySpace was not designed for Ecommerce, so one needs to be tactful. Going in there to spam forums with products will get an account deleted.

I imagine if you had some great content in video format, and just had a tasteful overlay with your site on it, viral marketing would handle the rest.

YouTube doesn't let you insert HTML all over town which makes marketing a pain in the arse.

There is money to be made from YouTube but there is much lower hanging fruit in other neighbourhoods.

I haven't really tried youtube but apparantly a lot of people have from the looks of this forum.

I might give the adder a try.

With youTube is it just sending messages or do you make videos?
