What percentage of those visitors are from search engine traffic, what percentage are from hyperlinks, and what percentage are return visitors?
How are you making your site perform better in the SERPS? How are you making your site more "sticky" to visitors?
Approx figures from analytics:
29% Google
9% Yahoo
7% Towercodes
7% Myspacelayoutsupport
10% direct
37% other
Analytics stopped counting myspace profiles as a ref? That wasn't under other last I checked, was like 25%
16% return visitors. Working a lot with adding new content and new tools so it's up compared to the old version of the site which was just a basic turnkey with no additions.
The site dropped out of google for nearly two months, it's back now after the redesign. Doing real well on some less common search terms so plan to continue working on that with the new layouts section.
Just real annoying because I've got a very limited budget for doing any quick development. Unemployed so the little income I get all comes from my websites.
My older one makes about the same amount as usual, and I have a newer one that isn't really taking off. (I figured "hey, I'll start a second one and my income will double!")
My site is still just stuck at the same traffic. I can get it up to 3000-3200 per day and then it just drops to 1500, and it's a slow climb again before another drop. Makes no sense whatsoever.

I have one, decent name I guess.. at least for search terms.. I've never tried to promote it, other then a few post with adder.
It gets about 10 visitors a day, nothing fancy.. I've thought about getting a better script or layout for it.
Any suggestions ? I'm willing to spend a few $'s for a good one, the one I have now is a free turnkey one.
I wouldn't want to go too high ( mid $xx )
pls pm me if you know a good script, I'm not trying to hyjack this thread.
thanks

if you are getting tons of traffic to your site you should have no problems makeing money off adsense or whatever.
Otherwise you can go to azoogle and sign up with an afilliate program and place banner ads or text links all over you website and make some good profits that way.
if your not receiving enough traffic I would recommend that you start something viral...like a fun game with that people can forward around with your website in big block capitols that shows the whole time the game is playing. If people like the game they will forward this around the web and you will get 100's possibly hundres of thousands of links each week / month

I just got mine up and running and here's my question:
What is the best way to pimp my site (no pun intended)?
I've got a profile on ms that I'm using space station with. I'm sending about 200 friend requests per day. Been sending comments with my MS layout site as the source obviously.
Would I be better served sending bulletins? Or just bombard my friends with more personal comments every day and hope people start using my site? Or both?
And there is so much freakin spam on myspace, would anyone even bother to click on a bulletin anymore?
