What are the best ways to keep track of your traffic growth? Shared hosting provides software like awstats but for those that don't have these, what do you use?

Google Analytics is very interesting and easy to use, I have found it extremely useful and best of all its free.

Well, a basic free one is CQ Counter. It does lack some features though but is very easy to signup for and add to your page. It tracks referals and everything too.

I was thinking of going for a reseller account that way each domain can have it's own awstats. But I think it would be better for me to just go with Google Analytics, even if it is slightly inaccurate from requiring Javascript to gather data.

I use both awstats and Google Analytics. I think Google is the way to go, there are a lot of interesting reports you can get from them. I've managed to do pretty good analysis of where my traffic comes from and how well it converts with it.
