Boy oh Boy. Tom has got to be pissed about this one...

This exploit allows you to redirect a visitor to a page with the code on it to any page you wish.

Here is an example at a mySpace profile
http://www.mySpace.com/BillyChickenhole

Notice that it redirects you to google once the page loads!
Ouch - that would sure suck if it redirected to a porn site or ringtones or an email submit or something...

This example is quickly and poorly implimented.
Done properly one could get the code onto various peoples mySpace profiles through many methods. Or the file can be sent to them via a PM, event, group invite, etc etc. So this is an easy way to get traffic to what ever page your heart desires. evil...

It is a known fact that many ppl are making 1-10k a day with this exploit.

I of course am much too busy organizing the church bake sale to participate in any such thing.

If anyone else is interested in doing this for purely pious and scientific reasons, then I am sure i can help you find a file which you can place wherever you wish.

I'm thinking Tom isn't even a big part of myspace since they were bought out. Since he has such 'idol' like status within that site, they are using him as a figurehead to communicate with their members. It's hilarious when i see a random message at 3AM from tom....

yea there is a way around the patch that could work theoretically but it is quite complicated.
