Okay, so I'm doing my thing on myspace. Not going crazy but taking 200 friends/day. Over 3 days I only had about a third of them accept or see my request.
I come home today and I'm assuming my account is banned.
And Tom didn't even email me to tell me!

So I'm hoping for some help from some pros. Considering the unbelievable amount of crap and spam that is on myspace, and also assuming I was banned for asking for too many friends, what is a safe level per day. I honestly thought I was keeping it cool.

Or could there have been another reason? I have not sent one bulletin yet, just used some comment tags from my myspace layout site.

Any tips?

Bad luck. You probably spammed the account of a myspace employee.

The *safest* way is to not even hit the captcha. So, 45-49 requests/day. Think multiple accounts rather than crazy friend request counts.

Ya know, and I'm being serious, I'm thinking it was due to the fact that I sent requests to people in the Disney group. But I didn't even spam anyone. Like I said, just sent the requests, had to deal with the friends who wanted to be real friends (and I even replied to them) and hadn't even sent one bulletin.
Looks like back to square one. I think I like the idea of multiple accts that shaggz mentioned. Is that more the norm?

spreading your eggs in many baskets is much safer. Not to mention the pain in the arse of typing in all of those captchas.

Also, don't forget that mySpace sucks. It is programmed by 10000 monkeys randomly hitting they keyboard and occassionally a usuable bit of code comes out that they immediately impliment with no testing.

It may be that you have fallen victim to bad coding and your account will suddenly reappear in a day or two. Stranger things have happened. Unless your profile is packed with viagra ads...

yes never go over 49 friend request per day per account. MAke sure when sending comments to always delete tom as a friend completely i think his friend id number is like 46621 or something like that. And absolutely no messages

Why are you trying to get 300 friends/day if it is not in your intention to spam them???
A "normal" person would not need to get that many friends. That's a red flag there.

Define spam. And I'm sincere in that. All I see on that POS site is spam. All I want to do is send comments. Yes, they obviously will have a link to my layout site but based on the crap I see there it's not that bad. Maybe I'm off base, I'm totally new to this.
And while we're on the subject, why else would ANYONE use an adder other than to spam or promote something?

"No messages"? Can you expand? Do you mean just send the request without any "personalized" message?

Well .. im not sure if spreading eggs actually helped cuz I had 12k profiles deleted in 2 days out the 18k batch ... So from my personal view, its better to stay low and on niche.

In my limited experience with myspace marketing I've only done 50 requests per day max, I went over that with one new account and it got deleted. So maybe that's why they deleted it.

Yea im talking about profiles(accounts). I'm not sure how many marketers are on myspace but i do know that its a very small percentage of the 152528180+ users on myspace.

So total newb question: How do you create 18k accounts?? Are they all different or do you have a basic template?

Can somebody please throw me a bone here? How the hell do you make that many accounts? What kind of prog are you using? And do you actually have a picture of "yourself" on these or just blank?
Man I got a whole lot to learn.

Scratch your head and think for a minute...

You think people are manually creating 10000 accounts? ouch - sore fingers!

you think they all look the same? delete delete delete

they are blank? how they hell would they be worth anything?

Common sense suggests that they have a script that does it somehow and if they are talented enough to write such a script, then they are surely talented enough to write a script that populates the accounts with good data too.

But no - such a thing is not commercially available - at least not off the shelf.

Well getting more accounts is not a problem at all for me. I can make 10k profiles in one day if I wanted to. All of these profiles are totally randomized. I just insert templates from layout sites along with surveys, worldmap... I use proxies for all of this. I have access to 100 new .com domains everyday for the emails domain extensions. I have a globally setup catchall system that visits the confirmation urls. What I do is log in and send 5 friend requests ... thats all. For the pictures, I made a clone of the "picture not available" and just alter around the picture for each account.

For now im trying to figure out why the accounts are getting deleted before I go.

Here's my theory:
When i log into myspace, all i do is send friend request and log out. So my guess is that myspace has some sort of system to detect the person is just logging in and sending friend request and then logging out. So to test this I'm going to create a spider that would just log into these accounts and click around, post come comments and so on ... to make it look like a real user.

Can anyone else think of any other factors ... ?
