Hi all,

I have an idea in mind that will draw more users to my link buying / investment site, LinkVestor.

To attract more link buyers, I am thinking to launch a contest giving $100 to the top 3 link sellers (who profit the most from selling their links within 2 months). Do you think this is a good idea?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

The site works by buying a link in the site then sell it as the link price increases.

Might work, but I would launch some sort of affiliate program ($, not points).

Agree money is a better incentive then points.

money will work well....im offering a contest to my affiliates to one of my products and its working well

I guess the more money your offering the more money you will make. but you have to give back a portion of that remember.

I think you've got a good idea there. It's similar to the King Of The Bill thing, which I believe did well. He didn't run a competition, I don't think, he got people to advertise it on their sites. Can't remember how, but it worked out well.

I am thinking to use Adwords to promote my site but worried that many users may not have an idea of how the site works.. currently, i am promoting this site through forums, articles and email marketing.

I would launch an affiiate program.. They will bring in lots of visitors

Sounds like you're off to a good start. I'm a fan of contests to promote new sites.
