I am wanting to promote a website that i own which is a cashback/reward/incentive site based in the UK. It is targetted at university students which means using myspace would match the demographic. I want people to visit my myspace to then click a link to my website and then sign up.
Im trying to work out a strategy which will get people to my website. The idea i currently have is.........
a myspace profile for each of the people within our company (and possibly a few fake people too). The people will then request 45 friends a day by selecting just UK based people who have 'at university' selected in there profile. This over time should generate a lot of friends that will then look at the spaces and then click to visit my website. I also plan to make a myspace group and have a few forums where people can discuss the website and get screensavers and theme, similar to myspace.com/adidassoccer
I think this strategy should work and get a decent number of people to my website. What are your comments about this??
Another idea is to create many many fake accounts that get friends and then tell people to visit my website (and not my myspace). I however dont want my website to get closed down and dont know if i would get sued for this.
I have read many forums about myspace promotion but most just send people to adsense packed sites, rather than to boost member levels.
Hopefully there are some good ideas floating around in the vast brains of you guys (flattery over :innocent: )
thanks for your time
